Day one - New York Tourist
Day 1
Simply got a metro card and got off at Times Square to walk and explore. I feel that after already visiting 3 years ago and doing all the lonely planets 'to see' I am ready to enjoy the paste of the city and walk around and see all for myself.
Sights on route :
- Grand Central Station
- Times Square
- Central Park
-5th Avenue
-Madison Square Garden

Hello New York !!
Do I need to say much more ? .. perhaps.
I wanted to share with you the exciting adventure I am about to embark on. I have moved to New York and will start an internship at a Luxury Womenswear Fashion house ( exact details to follow) on tuesday for 3 months, all the way up to New York Fashion Week. Its been pending for so long I can't believe its here and I am sitting in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in shabby chic caffe writing this.
Over the course of the internship I will try to eat & explore different places and share them with you . Think of it as a guide of Do's & Don't of a intern on a budget in NYC.
I'm all about the new experiences, new friends , new chapter.
Off we go .

Music on My Mind : MØ - Walk This Way
Wanted to share a video I came across, which I loved from the moment i saw the quirky & awkard gym poses at the starts.. takes me back to my all-catholic-girls gym classes I attended.
"Having broken onto the scene last year with her sweet beats and sugarcoated sounds, MØ is back with No Mythologies to Follow, the dreamy debut album forever on repeat at i-D HQ. Directed by Emilie Rafael and styled by i-D's Fashion Editor Jack Borkett, let us take you take you back to high school in MØ’s brand new video for Walk This Way. Would all students please report to the sports hall and join the Danish songstress and her crew for dance routines, sportsbras and badass hair all round. This girl means business."
Enjoy.

What to do this weekend : Radio Rooftop Bar in Aldwych, London
'What you can’t see from up here isn’t worth its place on the London skyline'
Was what I was told a week ago, about the Radio Rooftop Bar in mids of thinking about relaxing in the sun and enjoying the beauty of summery London.
The name Radio derives from the location – a grand art deco edifice once known as Marconi House, but now the fancy ME London hotel. From here, the first BBC programming was broadcast in 1922. Radio is on the roof, ten floors up, where the transmission aerials once stood.
The bar ‘tapas’ menu advertises scotch eggs, wagyu beef sliders and mac ’n’ cheese, With arty drinks and barman magic. With tons of cushy sofas its the perfect place to realax and take time out with a splendid view. Plus its open till 3am .

Open 7am-3am daily

60's Truck - Chic - Theory Black Cashmere Sweater - Summer Sale
So its SUMMER ! How very very exciting .. There is really no better place to be then in London for those May bank holidays and June picnics. A lot has changed since returning from Milan.
I am now an official and permanent tenant of the N7.. and could not be happier. To celebrate we went on a local stroll and found a truck. Not your run-off-the-mill truck. A real blue ( a tad chipped ) piece of machinery.. so naturally we took some pictures to show the pieces we are selling.
The top was a real find in Kensington ... a Cashmere & Mohair mix .. from Theory . An expenisve label but we are selling it for price bought. Trying to get some summer wardrobe space..
The link to the Ebay store is here :

London College of Fashion students team up with Salvation Army Trading Co to promote sustainable fashion
Finally some news ! The project I completed in June in collaboration with Salvation Army to promote Sustainable fashion has now been returned from Brimingham Clothing Show and was on display in their flagship store on Oxford Circus !
The aim of this collaboration was to show we can create a desirable garments out of donated clothing. I used three pairs of donated british army uniform trousers to create a biker jacket . Here are the results :

A Mention by hollywood.com for their Beyond the Row fashion news feature
So as you know, I have posted previously about my trip to Paris for my 'big' 22nd birthday .. and the amazing show's I got to see. In a quick hurry on route to Nina Ricci I had some pictures taken, which I was send a link to later on, but as my name was spelled incorrectly .. I never manage to claim them :( So it was a lovely surprise to have a friend of mine send me a link from Beyond the Row with their 'Cat out the Bag' fashion news section she found in Google whilst researching some imagery. ( thanks Natalie ! ).
